32-year-old Katie needs to find her match – urgently

You could give someone like Katie another chance to live

32-year-old Katie from Lincoln received the devastating diagnosis of myelofibrosis after abnormalities were found in the ultrasound scan that revealed she was having twins. Myelofibrosis is a rare blood cancer where the bone marrow produces too much fibrous tissue, preventing the production of healthy blood cells. Now Katie needs a stem cell transplant to save her life.

Katie, who is appealing for people to sign up to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register, says, ‘The stem cell transplant is the only cure for my cancer. It will give me more time, a whole new life. Without a transplant I've been given about six years.'
